About Korweinguboora
Located in the heart of the Wombat State Forest on volcanic soil from Leonards Hill, nestles the town of Korweinguboora (Co-whingee-boora). A small town with a big heart once known for wood chop events and mud scrambles and now the place to find road side stalls selling seasonal produce from berries in the summer to potatoes in the winter and legally harvested wood all year round.
Renowned for rainfall, the Recreation Reserve and rich red soil, Korweinguboora is an area where many nationalities have settled and diverse agricultural activities are now practiced. It is easy to pass through Korweinguboora….but if you observe the 80kph signs and keep your eyes peeled you will notice the old General Store and the little white Catholic church now privately owned.
Why be in a hurry to get to Daylesford….slow down….there’s more than meets the eye in Korweinguboora....
